For Sale: Thorn Explorer and tandem gas lift rack

Good condition – well maintained and much modified with TSDZ2 crank motor and Rohloff 14 gears.

After a couple of bad accidents on my solo I am not able to ride the Thorn.

The TDSZ2 motor is pedal pressure sensing (as Shimano and Bosch) and is mounted in the rear crank giving a normal synchronised connecting chain.  It is powered by a 11Ah Lion battery with correct charger.   It has been regularly charged 20 – 90% at room temperature.

The Rohloff hub is prevented from rotating by a torque arm and the driving chain is supported in a tensioner which solves the chain stretch problem.   All the components are Rohloff parts.   Oil Regularly changed.    Gear ratios  19” to 96”. 

The gas lift mounts on the normal car rack and enables the bike to be held vertically on its wheels.

Frame:   20”/17”  steel.

Wheels:   26”.  Front rim - mt-19, LX hub:      Rear rim – Ryde.

Brakes:    Original Shimano Deore M510 V brakes (parallelogram action).

Captains bars:   Straight.

Saddles:   Captain: Brooks B17.    Stoker:  Halfords comfort.

Many spares and tools.

Can be delivered within reasonable distance.
