For Sale: Mike Morris Tandem Trike Project
By: John Farby/br>Email: (Login to view)/br>Telephone: (Login to view)/br>Location: Northallerton/br>Listing ends on: Tuesday 7th October 2025/br>Price: £150/br>I believe Mike Morris was a time trialist who later built time trial frames and other bespoke bicycles in the 1970s.
Dark blue original paint with red block transfers & red head transfer.
This was probably built around 1978 to fit a Ken Rogers 32inch wide trike conversion kit.
Frame size 22.5inch/20.5inch centre to top with 64inch wheelbase. Frame condition for age good with just some rust on rear seat tube and fork legs.
Has tubes brazed across the chainstays and seatstays for extra rigidity so can't be used as conventional two wheel tandem without modification.
Has an unconventional stoker stem on the rear top tube built for someone with limited reach.
Has a mishmash of parts particularly the crossover drive which I was going to sort out but sadly run out of time for this project.
At moment can't find where I put rear seatpost and saddles etc but I'll dig them out. Haven't checked that front seatpin and front stem move. Bike not stored at home so will have to report back.
Wheels are 27 x 1.25 with Weinmann rims and Michelin World Tour tyres. Front has Sturmey Archer hub brake.
Haven't weighed bike but is transportable on car roof with appropriate rack with front wheel removed.
